Panaji: With the Goa Legislative Assembly’s monsoon session set to begin on July 21, the BJP legislature wing and its alliance partners convened a preparatory meeting on Tuesday to chalk out the legislative agenda.
The meeting was chaired by Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant, and attended by BJP State President Damodar Naik, Rajya Sabha MP Sadanand Shet Tanavade, ministers, and party MLAs.
Addressing media after the meeting, CM Sawant said the session will cover discussions on new Bills, key policy decisions, and other legislative matters. He stressed that the session has not been curtailed, countering opposition claims.
Sawant clarified that although the total number of sitting days was originally 18, three days were utilised during the last session for the Governor’s address, leaving 15 effective working days for the upcoming session.
The meeting aimed to ensure a united and well-prepared front as the BJP-led coalition gets set to face the House.
