In a significant step towards revitalizing local infrastructure and heritage, BJP Goa President Damu Naik inaugurated the repair and renovation works of Gogol Tali, also known as Amrut Sarovar, located in Ward No. 6, Gogol, Fatorda.
The event witnessed the presence of several prominent personalities including Water Resources Minister Subhash Shirodkar, former Chief Minister Digambar Kamat, Haj Committee Chairman Urfan Mulla, and local leaders Sadanand Paklo, Babita Naik, and Camilo Mandal.
Addressing the gathering, Damu Naik emphasized the importance of preserving natural water bodies and enhancing public spaces for community use. “This project is not just about renovation; it’s about restoring a vital part of our heritage and ensuring that future generations benefit from it,” he said.
WRD Minister Subhash Shirodkar praised the collaborative spirit behind the initiative and assured that the government remains committed to supporting such developmental works across the state.
The renovation of Amrut Sarovar is expected to improve local aesthetics, boost water conservation, and create a recreational space for the residents of Fatorda. The project also reflects the broader aim of fostering sustainable development while preserving cultural and environmental assets.
