Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant on Monday laid the foundation stone for an indoor sports hall and gymnasium as part of the reconstruction of the Cumbharjua Ground. The event was held in the presence of Cumbharjua MLA Rajesh Faldessai, MLA Govind Gaude, and other dignitaries, marking a significant milestone for sports infrastructure development in the constituency.
Speaking at the function, Dr. Sawant emphasized the government’s commitment to strengthening grassroots sports and promoting community wellbeing through upgraded infrastructure. “This project will not only rejuvenate a vital public space but also serve as a hub for sports, culture, and community engagement in the years to come,” he said.
MLA Rajesh Faldessai expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister for supporting the long-pending project and reiterated his vision of transforming Cumbharjua into a model constituency with modern amenities for the youth.
The upcoming indoor facility and gymnasium aim to provide a platform for aspiring athletes, fitness enthusiasts, and cultural activities, ensuring the holistic development of the local community.
