Panaji: Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant, along with Tourism and IT Minister Rohan Khaunte, launched five key digital initiatives under the Department of Printing & Stationery on Monday, marking a significant step towards e-governance and public accessibility.
The new initiatives aim to modernize government services and preserve Goa’s rich historical archives:
✅ e-Gazette – A fully digital and paperless platform for publishing official government notifications and documents.
✅ Inventory Management System – Enables real-time tracking and online ordering of government stationery, improving efficiency and transparency.
✅ Certified e-Gazettes – Citizens can now apply for and download certified copies of government gazettes from the comfort of their homes.
✅ Pre-Liberation eBooks Library – A digitized archive of historical publications dating back to the 1800s, providing valuable access to Goa’s pre-liberation documents.
✅ Revamped Website – A new user-friendly, accessible, and modern interface designed to enhance the user experience and streamline services.
Speaking at the launch, CM Sawant emphasized the government’s commitment to digital transformation, transparency, and ease of access for the public. Minister Khaunte added that the initiatives align with the state’s broader vision of becoming a digitally empowered society.
