Panaji, July 9: The General Administration Department of the Government of Goa has announced a revision in daily accommodation tariffs for Goa Bhavan, Mumbai, with effect from July 9, 2025. The revised rates apply to various categories of individuals, including government officials, journalists, freedom fighters, and private persons.
According to the official order, A/C rooms (double occupancy) will be charged at ₹1,000 per day, while dormitory beds will cost ₹400 per person per day for most categories such as Goa government officers, central government officers on official duty, MPs, MLAs, ex-legislators, and accredited journalists.
Freedom fighters from Goa will continue to receive subsidised rates, paying ₹600 for A/C rooms and ₹200 for dormitory accommodation.
For students on study tours, only dormitory facilities will be available at ₹400 per head per day.
In a citizen-friendly move, the order provides a 50% discount on dormitory charges for Goan residents holding a valid EPIC (voter ID) and availing medical treatment in Mumbai. This concession is available on submission of a certificate from the treating hospital stating the need and duration of accommodation.
However, non-Goan individuals without EPIC will be charged four times the normal tariff, i.e., ₹4,000 for an A/C room and ₹1,600 for dormitory stay. Additionally, such reservations will be restricted to one room or one bed only.
An extra mattress in A/C rooms, when required, will be charged at ₹300 per day.
The revised tariffs were approved with the concurrence of the Finance (Expenditure) Department under U.O. No. 1400101134 dated August 11, 2024.
