Tuem, Goa: In a significant move aimed at bolstering healthcare infrastructure in North Goa, Health Minister Vishwajit Rane held a high-level meeting to review the operationalisation of the Community Health Centre (CHC) in Tuem. The meeting was attended by Mandrem MLA Jit Arolkar, Secretary (Health) Arun Kumar Mishra (IAS), Director of Health Services Dr. Rupa Naik, Health Officer Tuem Dr. Anil Moraskar, and Director (Administration), DHS, Pooja Madkaiker.
During the meeting, detailed deliberations were held on expediting the commissioning of CHC Tuem to ensure prompt access to quality healthcare services for residents of the region. Health Minister Rane appreciated the consistent efforts of MLA Jit Arolkar, who has been actively following up on the matter to ensure improved health facilities for his constituency.
“We are committed to ensuring that the people of Pernem are provided with quality, accessible, and efficient healthcare. The CHC Tuem will play a key role in last-mile healthcare delivery,” stated Minister Rane.
The meeting also focused on inter-departmental coordination to streamline the operational process. All departments involved reaffirmed their commitment to work together towards making CHC Tuem functional at the earliest.
The move is seen as part of a broader strategy by the government to strengthen healthcare infrastructure in rural and semi-urban areas of Goa, aligning with the state’s vision for inclusive and accessible healthcare for all.
