Canacona:
In a significant move to strengthen its grassroots presence in South Goa, the National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) has appointed Harsh D. Dessai as the President of its Canacona unit. The appointment was announced during a formal induction event where several students from Canacona Taluka joined NSUI under Dessai’s leadership.
The event witnessed the presence of key Congress and NSUI figures, including NSUI Goa President Naushad Chowdhari, South Goa MP Capt. Viriato Fernandes, senior Canacona Congress leader Janardhan Bhandari, and NSUI leaders Shane Rebelo, Aires Soars, Muskan, among others.
Welcoming the new members, Chowdhari expressed confidence in Dessai’s leadership and said that the youth of Canacona will play a pivotal role in voicing student issues and strengthening the Congress ideology on campuses. Capt. Fernandes lauded the enthusiasm of the young members and urged them to stay committed to democratic values and student welfare.
