Sattari: As part of the Vanmahotsav celebrations, Forest Minister Vishwajit Rane launched a special tree plantation and seedling distribution program at the Government High School in Savarde, Sattari. The initiative aims to encourage environmental conservation and promote a culture of afforestation among the local community, especially the youth.
Addressing students, teachers, and local residents during the event, Minister Rane highlighted the critical role of trees in maintaining ecological balance. “Afforestation is not just an environmental necessity but a community responsibility. We must all come together to preserve and protect nature for future generations,” he said.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and villagers, who joined the plantation drive and received saplings to plant in their surroundings. Rane also stressed the importance of sustained public involvement in such green initiatives and assured continued government support for environmental programs in rural areas.
