Anjuna, July 11:
Anjuna Police have registered a rape and theft case following a complaint filed by a woman hailing from Mayem, Bicholim. The incident allegedly took place in March 2025 at a resort in Vagator.
According to the police, the woman accused Elian Alijah D’Abreu (19), a resident of Nachinola, of sexually assaulting her and stealing her gold chain during the encounter. Based on the complaint, an FIR has been registered, and the accused has been placed under arrest.
Police officials confirmed that further investigation is underway to gather additional evidence and verify the circumstances surrounding the case. The accused will be produced before the court as part of legal proceedings.
Authorities have assured that due process is being followed and the case will be investigated thoroughly.
