Margao: Aradhya Pradeep Borkar, a talented 8-year-old student of Vidya Bharati Primary School, Margao, delivered a stellar performance at the 36th Goa State Sub-Junior and Junior Aquatic Championship, held from July 11 to 13, 2025, at the Ponda Sports Complex.
Aradhya bagged an impressive total of seven medals, showcasing her exceptional talent and determination in competitive swimming. She clinched four gold medals in the 50m Backstroke, 50m Breaststroke, 4×50m Freestyle Relay, and 4×50m Medley Relay events. In addition, she earned three silver medals in the 50m Butterfly, 50m Freestyle, and 100m Individual Medley, solidifying her place among the rising stars in Goa’s aquatic sports scene.
Her outstanding performance was applauded by coaches, fellow participants, and spectators alike. Aradhya’s achievements at such a young age are a testament to her dedication, rigorous training, and passion for the sport.
The championship witnessed participation from promising swimmers across the state, and Aradhya’s success has brought pride not only to her school but also to the entire swimming community in Goa.
