AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Friday alleged that the reported theft of donations at the Shri Ram Mandir in Ayodhya was an insult to Hindus in Goa and across the country. He questioned whether the Prime Minister was protecting those allegedly responsible for the reported “chanda-chori” (donation theft).
Referring to the passage of 891 days since the Pran Pratishtha ceremony at the Shri Ram Mandir, Kejriwal also claimed that Union Home Minister Amit Shah had not yet sought blessings at the temple.
Kejriwal rejected the suggestion that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was unaware of the alleged donation theft, arguing that the Prime Minister had personally selected every member of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, including its General Secretary, Champat Rai, whom he described as being close to the Prime Minister.
Calling for accountability, Kejriwal urged Hindus across the country to unite and demand that the “real culprits” behind the alleged donation theft be identified and not allowed to escape responsibility.
