Porvorim: Sanjhavi Gauresh Naik brought laurels to her school and the State by clinching the Gold Medal in the 50kg+ category at the All Goa Khelo India Inter-School Women’s Weightlifting League, held on August 7, 2025, at Vidhyaprabhodini College, Porvorim.
Representing Shree Ram Vidhya Mandir School, Sanjhavi’s stellar performance was the result of her dedication and rigorous training under Coach Mahesh Kavlekar (SAG Pedem, NSNIS Diploma).
The achievement not only highlights the growing talent in women’s weightlifting in Goa but also showcases the importance of grassroots sporting initiatives like Khelo India, which are helping nurture young athletes.
