Panaji, July 18:
Reaffirming its commitment to improving healthcare services, the Goa Government has strengthened the State’s emergency medical response system by adding two new ambulances to the 108 Ambulance Service fleet.
Health Minister Vishwajit Rane announced the addition, stating that it is part of the government’s ongoing efforts to enhance healthcare infrastructure and ensure timely medical assistance during emergencies across Goa.
“Strengthening Goa’s healthcare infrastructure has always been a top priority for the State Government,” said Rane. “These new ambulances will further improve our ability to respond swiftly to critical health situations, especially in remote and rural areas.”
The 108 ambulance service plays a vital role in offering round-the-clock emergency medical care and has been instrumental in saving countless lives. With the new additions, the fleet is expected to operate more efficiently, reducing response time and improving outreach.
Citizens have welcomed the move, noting that access to emergency services is key to a robust and responsive healthcare system.
