Mayem MLA Premendra Shet felicitated 33 meritorious students from Class 10 and 12 belonging to the village panchayats of Narve, Chodan, Maem, and Shirgao at a special function held at Mayem. The event was organized by the North Goa Zilla Panchayat to honour academic excellence and showcase developmental progress in the region.
On the occasion, MLA Shet also released a special publication highlighting the development works carried out under the Maem Zilla Panchayat constituency during the 2020–2025 term. The book further highlights key initiatives and performance of the Adhyaksha of the North Goa Zilla Panchayat, covering the term from October 2024 to August 2025.
The MLA also felicitated the Maem Zilla Panchayat Member, who currently serves as the Adhyaksha of the North Goa Zilla Panchayat, acknowledging her contribution to rural development and grassroots governance.
The event saw the presence of Dr. Ajay Gaude, Chief Executive Officer of the North Goa Zilla Panchayat, President of North Goa ZP Shankar Chodankar, ZP Members from various constituencies, as well as Panchayat representatives and sarpanchas from the Mayem constituency.
Speaking at the function, MLA Premendra Shet lauded the efforts of the Zilla Panchayat in strengthening infrastructure, sanitation, and other key services at the village level. He encouraged the students to continue striving for excellence and assured continued support for educational initiatives in the constituency.
The programme concluded with expressions of gratitude from local leaders and community members for the developmental efforts and recognition of student achievements.
