South Goa MP Viriato Fernandes on Thursday marked two years as a Member of Parliament, expressing gratitude to the people of Goa for their support and guidance throughout his tenure.
Reflecting on his journey, Fernandes said he had consistently raised issues concerning Goa in Parliament, including environmental protection, education, employment, law and order, tourism, double-tracking projects, coal pollution, the welfare of fishermen, taxi operators, motorcycle pilots, agriculture, and the preservation of the state’s hills, forests, and rivers.
The MP stated that he and his team have remained committed to putting “Goa First” and safeguarding the state’s interests. He also highlighted that MPLAD funds have been utilized with a focus on key sectors such as education, healthcare, sanitation, and sports.
Acknowledging that there is always room for improvement, Fernandes invited constructive feedback from citizens and urged them to continue working together for the development of Goa.
