Panaji: AAP Goa has accused the BJP-led government of failing to provide regular and affordable electricity to consumers, despite the state having adequate power availability.
Addressing a press conference, AAP Goa President Valmiki Naik claimed that the Power Department recorded nearly 25,000 unplanned power outages during the first three months of the year, averaging around 35 power cuts daily.
Naik alleged that consumers continue to face frequent disruptions and expressed concern over the implementation of smart meters. He warned that if the government does not roll back the smart meter project within 15 days, the party will launch ‘Viz Andolan 2.0’ to protest the move.
AAP has demanded immediate action to ensure reliable electricity supply and address consumer grievances related to power distribution and smart meter installation.
